Emotional Wellbeing
Becoming a mother fundamentally changes us and that change is not easy.
After having your baby, whether in that first year or years down the line, we experience the whole range of emotions from elation to grief and everything in between.
If you are feeling down, not yourself, or are struggling with your emotions since having your child, please speak to your midwife or GP who may offer advice, medication or counselling.
If this isn’t an option for you for whatever reason you can self-refer for counselling sessions & other help via Kirklees Talking Therapies
Below are local practitioners and organisations who can advise you when you feel like you need some help with how you are feeling:
Sajeda Patel - Sahee Counselling
Farzana Kaji - Therapeutic Counsellor
Abeda Aswat - Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Apa Sajida Mehmood - Let’s Talk It Out
Shaffia Khatun - Specialised therapist for teenage girls and women, particularly those experiencing domestic violence.
